However, a 15-year-old child made good use of this holiday. Prathamesh Sutara is from Nippani Taluk in Belgaum district, which built its own electric bicycle during the epidemic. On this electric bicycle, you can cover a distance of up to 40 kilometers after a single charge. Actually, during the lockdown in the middle of the epidemic, Prathamesh was thinking about creative work. He asked his parents to prepare an electric bicycle. Prathamesh’s father Prakash Sutara was happy to hear that his son was going to do some work. Prakash Sutara is an electrician. Prathamesh was fully supported by his family. Parts made from rubbish After this, Prathamesh began to collect all that junk that could be used to make bicycles. Since his father is an electrician himself, he has taken all the important stuff out of his father’s garage. After this, Prathamesh made a 48-volt Lid Acid Battery. He also designed a 48 volt, 750 watt motor and an electric rechargeable motor each.Internet help Prathamesh Sutara told News18, “In the present day and age, fuel prices are soaring and ordinary people cannot afford that much. Even after the lockdown, I stayed home. After the school closed, I thought of doing something myself. After this I designed an electric bicycle with the help of my father. Prathamesh only spent Rs 25,000 to build this bike. Compared to the price of electric bicycles available on the market, it is very economical. Prathamesh said, ‘Once charged, it gives a mileage of 40 km. The maximum speed of this bike is 40 kilometers per hour. It is also special that this bike also has a reverse gear. Father’s chest widened with pride Prakash Sutara says proudly of his son’s performance: “I am very happy for my son, because he used his spare time for good work. Even after being an electrician, I didn’t know much about the electric bike mechanism myself. During this adventure I also learned a lot from my son. I hope it will do something great someday so that we will be proud of it.
